Weekly Update--my date with Jason Bateman

Wow! Another summer week gone! I was glad to get the kiddos back from Daytona. They had alot of fun and made tons of memories with my mom and dad. (pictures will be posted later)

I haven't really talked about my "hobby" or little part time job that I try to work about once a month...but some of you know that I'm a "back ground" actress for local casting companies in Atlanta. Which means I walk or pantimine in the back ground of a scene in which the main character are talking. It has been so much fun. This week I worked on a set for the movie "ID Thief" starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy.  It was a very dramaic scene with crying in such so the filming took alot longer than expected. We worked from 9:00am to 1:30am. We filmed in a resturant with a bar.... so I was able to watch the Braves game in between takes and long breaks. Jason Bateman was a dream... very nice but was very focused. Because of the seriousness of the scene they were filming he wasn't is normal funny sarcastic self. We watched the game together.... lol... meaning we were in the same room watching TV...

Melissa McCarthy, from Bridesmaids fame, was doing the crying. She was amazing and very down to earth.

I love being on set. You would be amazed at how much work it actually takes to film a 2 min. scene in a movie.  Now I can't help but think.....

Weekly Update

Wow! Looking back this week has gone by fast! My parents took the kiddos, along with my niece and nephew, to Daytona so itI was just Brett and I. It was nice to be able to get to work early and get off early. Monday we just relaxed and watched the Braves/Yankee game then Tuesday went down to Aunt Helens to eat. Such great food!!  Wednesday Brett was able to go to Rich's house with Jeff to help him move some furniture and I was able to meet some long time friends for dinner. It had been way too long. We took Thursday and Friday off and headed to the mountains. Its so nice to have a little get away that isn't too far from home.  Brett's cousin, Jordan, happen to have a game on the north side so we stopped to watch him pitch. Just last week he has drafted by the Miami Marlins. (We wont hold that against him)--- They lost the game but he was incredible...

Brett's cousin, Rich was kind enough to let us stay with him at his Strong Mountain Mansion. It was nice to relax. I thought alot about Peggy. There is still a void there but I felt her presence all weekend. The tin roof of the house creeks ALOT. I felt it was her walking about... She would be so proud of her daughter and husband...
Of course we also spent time down the mountain at Aunt Netta's Cosy Cabin. We ate and shopped and ate and shopped. It was nice.

But now we are are home and waiting for Monday for the kids to be here. It's been too quite around at the house.  But I know that they had a blast. Now mom and dad will need a vacation from their vacation....

Awesome Day at Turner Field

Wow~ What an awesome day to be at The Ted. It being Father's Day I had gotten tickets for Brett for Father's Day..... But at the last minute he decided that he needed to go play gold with his dad. So Trent and I were the lucky ones.... We had gotten there a little later than we normally do... but that didn't seem to matter. We had Trent's autograph book and the 2012 Braves cards ready to try for an autograph. I sent Trent down to the pitchers that were shagging balls and I made my way to our seats. He came back with Tim Hudson's autograph.  I thought it was funny he signed the outside of the book and not the inside....
Next thing I know... Here comes UGGLA... Holy cow. what a beautiful person. I couldn't get over how gazing his eyes were.....He was so nice to the kids. He must have signed 30 or more autographs.
Then Tommy Hanson made his way over...  Trent was able to get his book and a card signed.
Trent really, really wanted Matt Diaz's autograph.... That is one of Brett's favorite players.... But we couldn't seem to get is attention.

Chipper here with Fredi... relaxing before the big game.....He has alot on his mind now.

The little blond girl called over Jason Heyward. He was nice enough to some over to her... and Trent was quick to run over and get in line. He didn't sign but only a hand few.
When Trent was over with Jason I looked over and noticed that Uggla was still over to my left.... All of the little kids were gone so I made my way over to him... He signed my Braves sun visor..(notice my awful hat hair) and then I had a girl snap our picture... He was very nice... and his arms are huge... just like they look on TV... I wish I had the courage to ask him to record  on my phone... "My name is Dan Uggla... and you've just been hit with the UGGLA stick"... but I chickened out....lol

Weekly Update

I have spent this week looking back through my post. I cant believe I've been blogging for almost 7 years! WOW! I had so much more interesting things to say back then.... I am going to try to start doing a weekly update like I used to. So let's see how that goes.

This week has been alittle boring... I guess I'm so used to going...going... going....that when I don't "go" as much I get bored. The kids spent the night away some this week so I really didn't have much to do. Alyssa was excited again to be at Ola Academy. This week they went to High Falls Water Park.  Trent has spent some time at Nanny and Papa's house. Dad has been teaching him how to play cards so they have been playing non stop. He even went on YOUTUBE so he could learn some card tricks.....

As most of you know those evil YANKEES are in town. It's been hard to watch....There is just something about the arrogance of that team that rubs me the wrong way..... Even though the BRAVES have played good... it just wasn't enough....

I was shocked to hear all the buzz surrounding the revamp of.....

It's been crazy to hear all the talk... It's brought back so many memories for me. My papa used to watch it every Friday night.... We would all turn in to watched all the drama.... We caught a few minutes here and there in between innings of the Braves game, but I cant wait to sit and watch the entire 2 hours...

Patrick and Sadia's Wedding

Brett's cousin got married over the weekend. He is the last of the cousin's to get hitched....
Alyssa and Ethan loved to get all dressed up. He was the cutest ring bearer....
Uncle Stan and Trent.... Trent looked so grown. As he walked out with all the other groomsmen both Brett and I looked at eachother with watery eyes. He has turned into such a handsome young man.
Patrick, the groom and Trent.
Trent and his proud momma.
Brett and I even posed for a picture.

Kenny and Tim

The last concert of the summer for me! And it was a good one... My friend, Stephanie and I left out at 1:00pm for the GA Dome. We met up with Heather, Brittain and Julie...

Jake Owen performed first.... Last year I got to meet him backstage... What a cutie...

Tim came out in painted on white jeans... All I could say was WOW...

And lastly... Kenny.... He is such a good performer....
He really gets into the crowd...
Stephanie and I had really good seats in the 300 section... First row... we actually could sit down and watch the entire concert..... See that mob of fans close to the stage... that is were Heather and Brittain were... so not fair...

On a side note... the DOME is the worst place to have a concert. The echos and sound was awful. It was ok in our section but I'm sure those folks in the back were complaining....
