Barfield Vs Barfield

MUDCATS vs- RED SOX
A couple of weeks ago both Trent and his cousin Bryce pitched against each other. It was really neat. Trent said he was really nervous because he didn't want to hit Bryce. They both did a great job.

Only 2 weeks left of fallball. That's great because I am ready for true fall then the holidays.

My New Office

This is actually my office/desk. I haven't placed any pictures on the wall yet.
This is Jim's office. He has the best view I think. I love the windows in there.
Here is our awesome view of Atlanta.

MOV'IN ON UP

Well these last couple of weeks have been extremely busy. My office has made it's move to Riverwood. Click on the link to see. I will post pictures as soon as I remember to bring my camera.
The drive hasn't really been as bad as I thought it was going to be. I do think everyday about stopping at the Varsity on the way home, but have yet to do so.
I have a plain, clear view of Tyler Perry's mansion which is huge and a view of the downtown skyline. Now I just need to "up" my wardrobe to fit in with the "class" up here. lol.

The best news (for some) is that I am only working 4 days a week. That gives me a day to work at the school, make doctors appointments etc. My first day off was yesterday. I had scheduled school meetings so it really didn't seem THAT different. I was able to do some grocery shopping by myself and run into Belks which was very nice. Maybe that adjustment will be easier than I thought. My first job was when I was in the 8th grade and I have been working since, so this is an adjustment. Anyway..... we have our annual PIG DIG this weekend. So I have to prepare for that.

Happy 10th Birthday, Joseph Trenton Barfield

I can't believe that it has been 10 years since I have given birth to my only son! It's so hard to comprehend. It doesn't seem so long ago, but then again it seems like it has been forever.
Trent, you have turned into a handsome, brave, compassionate young man. Your daddy and I are so proud to call you our son. We love you so much. Mom.

DISNEY WORLD

On September 12th we left for the land of the mouse! When we arrived there was a special surprise waiting for the kids! Halloween baskets full of goodies! They were so excited to be there!

Brett and I decided to try something different that we had never done. We left on Saturday morning @ 3 am. It was awesome! The kids slept over half the drive. No talking, no fighting and no picking on each other! We arrived to our hotel around 11AM. That's with stopping for a nice breakfast at the Crackel Barrel. Since our reservations weren't until 6:30 that night we were able to nap that afternoon. Alyssa fell asleep in the tote we used to pack their clothes in

Night #1

The first night we ate at Chef Mickey's. Even though Trent wouldn't admit it... both kids had fun eating with the characters! Before the trip I explained to Trent that since he was getting older I really wanted pictures of him with some of the characters. So he got in the pictures with no problem.

This is my favorite photo!

I had bought Alyssa an autograph book. All of the characters signed it! Pluto is her favorite!

Goofy is Trent's favorite!

At Hollywood Studios they have an American Idol competition! I really wanted to do it but it would have taken up almost the entire day so I just borrowed this contestants creditals. She had just received her 'yellow" ticket to Hollywood and was waiting to go on stage.

I asked Alyssa to act like she was "going to Hollywood" this is the reaction I got!
We had reservations at the Sci-Fi Theater! It was like a true drive in.
We ate in cars and watched short movies on the screen
