Busy Week

Don't you just love these pictures? As this first one was being snapped Trent has saying, "Oh, Mom get her off me!" "I don't want to hug her."
She loves her brother. He knows it too. I think he loves her back even though she gets into everything he owns,

"Mom, please don't make me wear this dress... PLEEEAAZZEEE......"

It was been one busy week. The last week of school always is. Awards day was on Wednesday. Trent was so excited to receive the PE Award for his class. He beamed and glowed as he walked on stage. He also received certificates for A/B Honor Roll, Helping Hands and one for receiving 94% or better on his reading AR tests. Today Ms. Boddie is giving out her superlative awards. My guess is that Trent gets class clown or most likely to have hand sanitizer. lol.
Yesterday was his class party. Here's a story for you...... I had told Ms. Boddie , about a month ago, to let me know when the class party was and I would be glad to help out with it. I knew that the party had to be approved by the administration etc etc. Then about 2 weeks ago I received an email from the 3rd grade lead teacher regarding the party. I met with her (along with another parent). To make a long story short....... The party wasn't for Trent's class of 20 students. THE PARTY WAS FOR THE ENTIRE 3rd GRADE all 110 of them!! So I went from planning a 25 person party to planning a 150 person party.Talk about stressed! But in the end it all came together and it was an awesome day. I had delegated another parent for the games, which was the best thing I could have EVER done. We had hotdogs, chips, icecream, games, water balloons and a cotton candy machine. STICKY!! Everyone had a great time! I even got his teacher with a water balloon. She took it in stride.
Oh and Trent PASSED the CRCT. Actually his ENTIRE class did. He was so excited when he found out. I wanted to shout, scream and cry! He was so worried about that stupid test. I was proud of him.
So today is the last day of school. Wow! I will have a 4th grader and a kindergartner. That's so hard to believe.

The Graduate

I was totally shocked that Alyssa was so "not Alyssa" during the ceremony. She did actually what the director was doing. This was the face that she had for most of the time.

She turned shy up on stage.

This is a great picture of Alyssa and her best friends.

Alyssa and her teacher, Ms. Julie.
During the service each student walked to the microphone and told the crowd what they wanted to be when they grew up. Most of the kids wanted to be cheerleaders, baseball players, princesses and one kid even said Batman. Alyssa's response.......A Talking Tree??? What? It got a big laugh, though.

Our little Graduate

I can't believe that my baby is going into kindergarten. She will graduate from K-4 tomorrow night. It makes me sad to know that my last child is entering elementary school in the fall. Looking back... We have definitely climbed some high mountains. I know that Brett and I are stronger parents going through everything with our sweet, spirited Alyssa.
Alyssa~ You have matured so much this year. Starting out on yellow, then orange, then red and finally on green. We are so proud to be able to call you our daughter. You have brought such joy into our lives.

We spend Sunday at my mom's to celebrate Mother's Day, my birthday and my nephew's Birthday! What fun we had......

The kids love Papa's trailer ride. Up and down the neighborhood.

The boys built a "fort" in Nanny and Papa's backyard.

Alyssa's School Spring Pictures

Aren't these pictures great? Alyssa always has great school pictures! I am going to miss that next year.

All Grown Up

Yesterday Alyssa lost a tooth! I couldn't believe it. Trent was way older than 5. He was in the 1st grade before he lost one. She was so excited. She had been working that poor tooth for days and finally just pulled it herself.

I also registered her for kindergarten. Oh where has the time gone. Eventhough the school looks huge compared to her, she looked all grown up. I even managed to talk her into wearing a dress! (Notice her dollar from the tooth fairy)
