Goodbye 8th grade... hello Ola High School

Wow! Trent being a highschooler has really hit me this week. His school days are going by so fast. Brett and I took today off to see his "Walk Over." Ola Middle School to Ola High School. I'm so proud of him. These next 4 years will fly by. I need to treasure these years before he leaves me.....

8th Grade formal

I honestly can not believe that I am old enough to have a child in high school! Wow! 
We have been busy this week with end of year stuff along with Trent's 8th grade formal. He looked so grown up.. what a man he is becoming. We couldn't convince him to ask a girl to the dance.. but I was so glad he went with his friends. I love them all..... they are such a great group of kids. 

 The dance was held at Nash Farms in Hampton. From what I hear... Trent danced the night away even though he couldn't convince his friends to. That warms my heart....

As I sit here waiting for Trent's last baseball game to start, the tears begin to flow and I'm flooded with 11 years of wonderful memories. Our family has made long lasting friendships (and I'm sure I've made a few enemies too) here on these ball fields. From Braves to the Bombers to the Royals to the Mudcats, back to the Braves to the Orioles and finally the Ola Tide with all the Allstars in between... I cherish each and every memory...

I sat during his game and cried. I know all the other parents thought I had gone crazy.... All the emotions... the wins, the losses, ups and downs... Wow 11 years has flown by. This has been my life for all of those years. It's hard to imagine life without watching him play. 

Ola Tide won 8-2. Trent pitched the entire game. Faced 24 batters, Gave up 4 hits, 0 walks, struck out 7 and only hit 2. Lol---- way to go Big T

The End of 4th grade!

I can not believe that another school year has come to an end. Alyssa has such an awesome teacher, Ms. Partain. I'll miss her next year. 

 Alyssa received the Principals award for her grades and the 4th grade Music Award for her class. She was so happy! Great Job, Sissy.

Trent's 8th Grade Georgia Studies Trip

Trent is on his 3 day 8th Grade Georgia Studies Trip. I have to beg him for some pictures while he is gone.

I love the picture below... He is and will always be the cut up in the group... But only when Brett and I arent around.... It makes me happy to see that he is not so serious all the time.

Jekyll Island 4th grade trip

Wow! I'm tired.... 3 days with 4 girls on a school field trip... But we had so much fun. 

 The girls were so good. I had no problems at all. I was so glad I got to be apart of this. 

 I had never been to Jekyll Island before. It's such a great place to go. We all learned so much. Alyssa really took in what the trip was all about. 

 One day Brett and I will have to return there. The beaches were so pretty and the weather couldn't have been any better. 

Back to work tomorrow. I will be half a sleep.

Happy Birthday to me!

Just so happen that Girl's Night Out at the Turner Field fell at my birthday this year!..... So Asheley, Heather, JackieSue and I participated in the night. It was awesome!

 It's not so bad turning 38 especially when you're with your friends....

We even looked good on the big screen..... 

Sleeping Beauty

Rock Spring did an awesome job on their play "Sleeping Beauty." Alyssa starred at a lady bug in the forest. She was so cute up there. Made her momma proud.

 Cousin Dylan was also in the play. These two are really something.....lol  Maybe they have a future in the arts. They both to seem to enjoy being on stage.

Ola Tide to the Braves Game

With this being OLA Tides last season... it has been an emotional one. We wanted to go out with a bang... so we were able to get a sponsor to provide us with a limo to our last Braves game as a team. I think the boys had fun. 

Dad had a great time too. 

The Braves lost... but memories were made and that is what counts.
